I thought of you when I read this story this morning..... Being a pastor carries with it tremendous responsibility, not only to rightly divide the word but also as a teacher and counselor. It requires a constant devotion to study, pray and teach others. Life has encompassed many of the same principles that I have developed in becoming the Minister I am today. When I was approached by a LIFE member I was skeptical and really wasn't interested, but I listened. I eventually listened to that CD about 2 weeks later and liked what I heard. Let me tell you why. In 2003 my Mentor passed away. Anyone in ministry should have a mentor to help you develop and stay focused on whats important. I had been without one for almost 9 years and my spiritual life was suffering because I had no accountability beyond my family. LIFE gave me the opportunity to meet and develop relationships with people who not only held me accountable but also help me to grow in many other areas besides Faith. I have Financial, Fitness, Leadership, Family and many other areas in life covered now due to the people God and this business have made a part of my life. I am looking forward to the day that I can pass on the Gifts that God has given me, to use in equipping Men and Women in their faith, with the thousands of people I will meet through LIFE. It has given me a hope for the future that I didn't have. I hope to have an income that will give me more time to serve my Church, my team and the masses that I can reach through LIFE. In the month that I have been actively working with my "Coaches" (that's what I call them) and fellow TEAM mates, my life has become richer and the friendships I have developed are the biggest blessing I have received from God in a long while. Anyone in Ministry knows that even though we are actively serving and working with people much of the time, it can be a lonely vocation when you do not have anyone to vent frustration or just enjoy a conversation that doesn't involve counseling individuals. LIFE Has changed my life and given me the tools and opportunity to bless many more people in many more ways than I had without them. Chapter 7 Organized Planning
The Crystallization of Desire into Action
The sixth Step Toward Riches

It is imperative you build PLANS which will be practical.
Your plans will be foundational in achieving the creation of
which will cause you to manifest YOUR DREAMS and DESIRES
into their physical equivalent.

First and foremost, ally yourself with a mastermind group.
Since you and I are in network marketing it would make
sense then that we ally with a group that will assist us with the
creation of and carrying out of these plans. (Napoleon Hill
says, “Compliance with this instruction is absolutely essential.
Do not neglect it.”

In past blogs we have talked about the importance of the Five
Pillars of Due Diligence specifically Pillar number 5. Most
companies in network marketing seem to be missing this
most primary pillar. All other pillars can be properly in place
within the company but without this essential pillar the others
have little value.

So as you organize your success plan which Napoleon Hill
likes to call, “The Sixth Step toward Riches, I highly suggest
you consider this essential pillar #5. If you are not sure what
Pillar 5 is? Be sure to contact the person who shared this
blog with you and ask them for clarification.

We have also talked about the percentage of people who
struggle and fail in this industry (over 98%). It is this
struggling and rate of failure that gives our industry a black
eye.

So if there is a 98% failure rate in this industry wouldn’t it be
safe to assume that MOST COMPANIES lack Pillar Five?
Would it also make sense that you just might be part of that
98%? Next question, wouldn’t it make sense then too wake up
to this obvious fact and do something about it right now?

You can do one of two things to ensure you fill the gap. As
an essential step in your plan as you study the five pillars.

1) Determine if your company is a Five Pillar company. If
your company is missing Pillar number five you can fill the
gap with GENERIC third party skills training such as
provided by “Mentoring for Free”. Master Mind training
groups like MFF will give guidance to anyone in any
company for free. I found MFF by accident. At that time I
had a very loosely knit plan as most network marketers do.
The reason is; we’re not educated in this industry. It is
difficult to learn when we don’t know what we don’t know.
Our up-line does not know and the big money earners are to
busy recruiting and making money to get in the trenches
and help.

2) Look for a five pillar company and join it. That is what I
finally did. After over four years of struggling I finally
determined (after some education) I was not in a five
Pillar company. It took me several months of research
and after I found a Five Pillar company another six
grueling months of soul searching (I was very loyal to my
old company and up-line) to finally DECIDE and make the
change. My struggles in the old company were primarily
a very weak Pillar 5 and a weak Pillar 4. My old company
touted the Five Pillars, they called it Five Star. As I was
becoming “educated” in network marketing, instead of
taking my company’s word as gospel, I discovered a big
difference in what they said and what I began to know.
As I did the comparative analysis of each Pillar it became
obvious that a change had to be made. Hind sight tells me,
“I wish I had done it sooner”. But as we know, hind sight is
20/20.

Hill says keep in mind these two facts...My hope is, YOU DO…
• You are engaged in an undertaking of MAJOR IMPORTANCE
TO YOU.
• You must have access to and the advantage of the
experience, education and native ability and imagination of other
minds.

I have also discovered many people fear leadership. Most
people have not been in a leadership role, EVER. They do
not know what to do and fear letting people down or being
asked questions they cannot answer. Thinking they are
incapable of leadership they sabotage themselves with
“reasons and ifs”. It was a big worry of mine. I wanted to be
a leader but feared it at the same time.

In chapter seven of T&GR Napoleon Hill gives us the major
attributes of leadership and the ten major causes of failure
in leadership.

Put leadership education as a bullet point in your PLAN. I will
tell you this, if you bullet point the understanding of leadership
in your plan and then just follow the skills education at
“Mentoring for Free” and take the “ACTION” as suggested,
you will by osmosis become the leader that you feared would
elude you. I believe this just as I believe the sun will rise
tomorrow. Why do I believe it? Because I “know” I am the
leader I thought I could not be. I believe I have grown into
that role. How did this happen. For almost two years now I
have been hanging around and learning from the leaders at
“Mentoring for Free”. I have taken the action steps they teach
and applied them to my life and business.

I was told if you want to be a millionaire, hang around
millionaires. If you want to be a good leader hang around
good leaders. At “Mentoring for Free” I d0 both. They never
ever mention their company or products. No one has ever
tried to recruit me. They have just given me the skills I need
to become successful at network marketing and generate a
great residual income from home.

That’s how it works. I highly recommend that you contact the
person who shared this blog with you and ask them for the
book “Success in 10 Steps”, your First Step. The very step
I took and thousands have taken before me.

The Mastery of Procrastination
The Seventh Step toward Riches

Reaching DECISIONS quickly, definitely and
changing them slowly is a quality most people must
develop through conscious effort. It is the mastery of
this principle which has been the foundation of
fortunes. Procrastination is a foe practically every
person must overcome and will be a continual
opponent hiding in the shadows of the unwary mind.

The majority of people who struggle and fail at
network marketing are easily influences by the
opinions of others. Everyone has a multitude of
opinions ready to befall those that are willing to listen
and accept them. Being easily influenced by others
shows your personal lack of DESIRE.

Many of our most important decisions are
inappropriately influenced by well meaning (or, not so
well meaning) family and friends. Leave your family
and friends out of the equation. Napoleon Hill
suggests, close friends and relatives, while not
meaning to do so (???), often handicap one through
opinions and sometimes through ridicule, at times
disguised as humor. We’ve all experienced this if not
directly, certainly through innuendo, tones and body
language.

"You have brains in your head. You have feet in your
shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you
choose. You're on your own and you know what you
know. You are the guy who'll decide where to go."
— Dr. Seuss.

Prevent outside influence from continually causing
doubt and fear to creep in. Discriminatingly seek out
a master mind group for the coordination and
attainment of knowledge and support.

“The genuinely committed person, encountering
resistances to truth & change will not turn to
those who will give reasons or excuses to encourage
your struggle to commit. Rather, you will seek out a
master mind group who will faithfully and
enthusiastically support you in challenging your
resistances, passing through them and reaching the
expanded freedom on the other side”. – Vern Black
excerpt from “Momentum”.

My mentor suggests, “Once you have your business
working and cranking out leads and paychecks, then
he is 100% in favor of talking to friends & family. In
fact, you won't have to call them - they will hear the
good news, and they will call you. They will want you
to tell them how you did it. And then you can teach
them exactly how you used "Success in 10 Steps" by
Michael Dlouhy to find the strongest leads in the
business, make the best plan and take the correct
action to build your network marketing income”.

Hill advises, “Thought backed by strong desire has a
tendency to transmute itself into its physical
equivalent”. It is your dream, no one else’s. My
personal mentor Michael Dlouhy continually reminds
me that it is none of my business what others “think of
me”. It is every bit my business what I think of myself.

If you are not as happy as you could be with that
person in the mirror, remember what Hill tells us, “In
your search for the secret of the method, do not look
for a miracle, because you will not find it. You will find
only the eternal laws of Nature. These laws are
available to every person who has the FAITH and the
"COURAGE" to use them. There is no charge other
than the "TIME" necessary to understand and use them.

Hill says, “Those who reach DECISIONS promptly
and definitely know what they want and generally get
it. The leaders in every walk of life DECIDE quickly,
and firmly. That is the major reason why they are
leaders. The world has the habit of making room for
the man or woman whose words and actions show
they know where they are going”.

A final note, I found out today that indeed there is truly
such a thing as luck. I also found, we can be
significantly instrumental in creating luck. If you
